About 13 years ago, I was desperate to find a solution for my acne problem. I didn’t have huge problems as a teenager, but when I hit my early 20′s, I did something to cause my skin to have a chemical burn, and struggled with bad acne after that. I had tried many other skin care lines; over the counter, shopping network, and on-line and none of them helped. Then one day, I was searching on-line and came across Sage Skincare. Not only was this website a wealth of information, but it included a questionnaire to help you start off on the right foot with the correct products for your skin type. I’ll never forget, the minute after I submitted the questionnaire, I got an e-mail from Barbara, the creator and owner herself asking me to give her a call. I have never experienced this type of service before. I ordered the try me kit for acne and that was the start of the most wonderful relationship. I am serious when I say that Sage is more than a skin care company, they are like a part of my family. There are so many “best things” about Sage, I can’t narrow it down to just one. First and foremost, they realize that not everyone’s skin is exactly alike, so they have different formulations and strengths of products to choose from. And they work with you personally to find the best combination for your skin’s needs. They provide you with everything you need to help you reveal your most beautiful skin. And they have many informative articles on their website to assist you in this process. The products are absolutely wonderful! I have not found any out there that compare (and trust me, I am ever educating myself on the current products that are out there). From the corrective grains that provide much needed GENTLE exfoliation, to the facial shampoo which is creamy, but hard-working. This is a multi-use product that not only removes make-up without stinging the eyes, but can be used to clean your make-up brushes. If you are ever curious about how well the facial shampoo cleanses your skin, just wash a make-up brush with it. You’ll see the make-up release from the brush with ease. I have tried other cleansing products and my skin has never felt cleaner than with Sage’s cleansing duo. And Sage always stresses the importance of using an SPF religiously. Not many skin care lines take the trouble to remind you to always use an SPF.
I have found that the smoothing cream is really brightening my skin, fading any dark marks where acne once was and keeping a youthful appearance. It is also instrumental in the skin cell turnover needed to keep the acne from forming. I also use the Miracle zit. That is some really effective stuff. Even while using the 10% formulation every night, it is still moisturizing, and does not cause my skin to dry out. The hydrating emulsion is such an awesome moisturizer. It really sinks in and softens your skin. Another favorite of mine is the Bio mask. It is so creamy, it’s almost like marshmallow fluff without the stickiness. And your skin feels so soft after using it. Since using Sage, I have not had a troublesome breakout in years. And since skin is ever changing, with each new skin situation you are faced with (no pun intended), you can adjust your routine to address your issue. Another bonus to using Sage is that you use such a small amount of product because it is so concentrated it lasts longer than most other products which means you get high end skin care for an affordable cost. The important thing to know is that once you’ve found Sage, you are a Sager for life. I admit, I got curious about other products, and I did try them. But I found myself coming back to the comfort and wonderful predictability of Sage. And when I returned to using Sage, my skin cleared up and looked beautiful and radiant once again. Now, I wouldn’t try any other product line.

Because I was too lazy to keep the products in my house and use them, I am now faced with a face full of zits, fine lines, flakiness and brown spots. Almost like someone who loses weight and then becomes complacent and goes back to their bad habits, I began using drugstore and even department store products promising “to clear acne” and “reverse the signs of aging.” These products do NOT deliver what they promise. Following the Sage Skin Care regime faithfully and staying away from ingredients on their Acne Detective List is what cleared my skin in the first place (and kept it younger looking–I was a sun worshipper in my youth). Now I am starting from the beginning again, but I will not make the same mistake twice!
