INTERVIEW:

J:  Barbara I understand that you are a Paramedical Esthetician. Do you mind that term specifically for those of us who really don’t know the difference and how long you have held this title?

B: I have been a Para Medical Esthetician since 1984. In order to use this certification you must have training in skin structure and function, cosmetic chemistry and anatomy and physiology. This gives me the knowledge to analyze the skin of my client and make choices for his or her skin based on what their skin needs in terms of moisture, acne fighting, anti aging or Rosacea products and custom formulate for their particular skin and needs.

J:  What impressed me the most about you is your whole concept of custom formulization. What does Custom Formulization or Custom Blending mean and how can you do this for clients who order your products via a website?

B: Custom Formulation means that I formulate the product in the kit for each individual based on the needs of their skin and it’s individual conditions. I have each client fill out an in depth profile asking questions about family history, lifestyle, allergies, medications, product usage, Acne, Rosacea, the kind of skin (Aging, Oily, Combination, Dry) etc. This allows me to give them an in depth analysis and prescribe what will work for them. Many manufacturers have 2 – 3 products in a kit to clear or change the skin. They want you to purchase many more products for additional conditions. Our kits contain everything you would need to clear or change your skin and what you will use all the time. There is no second guessing. I can take a basic formula for a Facial Shampoo and blend it up or down depending on the need of the individual and that makes us very different.  I have been doing this since 1982 and it works very well.
